Grupo Bimbo and Oracle de Mexico announce business relationship for the launching of Bimbo XXI information program.

Bimbo XXI is an ambitious, new information project with a budget of approximately US$50 million and with an expected duration of five years. This project will allow the Company to better face an increasingly competitive and sophisticated commercial and technological environment.

This project is expected to lay the groundwork for Grupo Bimbo's Internet-driven development, which will also allow the Company to implement electronic business practices with many of its customers and providers.

Together, managers of both companies agree that the new contract includes the purchase of a business solution that will allow Grupo Bimbo to administer large quantities of information, as well as project support for what will be the beginnings of the Company's incursion into e-business. This business relationship makes Grupo Bimbo, Oracle's largest client in Latin America, in terms of investment and number of licenses.
