1. Committed with Your Health:



In Grupo Bimbo we have always been keen on fostering the adoption of a healthy life style, which includes a well balanced diet, as well as frequent physical activity.  Through our “Committed to Your Health” program we have undertaken specific actions in five specific areas:
• Healthy products
• Education in Nutrition and Health
• Promotion of physical activity
• Alliances and research
• Exemplary enterprise

Regarding “Products”, we have made new developments and improved existing ones.  For example, we have eliminated trans fatty acids from our products; developed smaller cookies and pastries serving sizes and products with less than 100 calories per serving.  Similarly, we have modified product fat, sugar and salt content, or have added some functional ingredient in 7% of our product portfolio.


2. Committed with the Environment:



Our commitment with sustainability leaded us to minimize the environmental impacts generated by our processes and services. We are taking very serious measures for recycling waste and for the reduction in the consumption of power and water.
Grupo Bimbo focuses its environmental protection efforts on five key areas:

• Power / energy savings
• Reduction of emissions
• Water savings
• Overall solid waste management
• Entrepreneurial Social Responsibility relates to environment protection issues, which we address   through our civil organization: Reforestamos México, A. C.

We are making efforts in order for our associates to reach their full potential, since we consider that they are the very heart that makes us into a great company.

4. Committed with our Society:

In addition to our constant preoccupation focused on improving internal operations, we also contribute to the general well-being of our society. We work to restore forests and jungles all over the country, to create opportunities of micro-financing for owners of small businesses and by educating children throughout the American Continent.
